1. Perception upon garbage and recycling among citizens from Bucharest
2. Scrap iron – one of the few materials that gets recycled constantly
3. Gypsies – the main scrap iron collectors and one of the few citizens from Bucharest and villages in the neighborhood that actually recycle something
4. Scrap iron collecting as an ecological activity, informal economy and subsistence strategy
5. Techniques and ways of collecting:
• Using carts and horses
• Using cars
• Using simple “carucioare”
6. Problems that scrap iron collectors have to face in relation with the authorities
7. The social circuit of scrap iron: from cheap low paid labor to very good business
